Description
This set of 16 round hardwood disks is all about discovery learning through the sense of touch and feeling. Each disk is just the right size for small hands to hold and an insert provides a range of sensory experiences – 7 of them are made from different materials and 5 have different textured surfaces. Children can be encouraged to say aloud what they feel which will require them to express their thoughts using descriptive language so important to their developing minds. A tray with recesses to hold the pieces can be used to organise the pieces or used with a blindfold to add to the sensory fun. The storage box measures 20.7 x 20.1 x 5.3 cm.
